JX's New Book In Stores

'HK's NS Guide' A Major Sell-Out; A Minor Glitch During JXHK Autograph Session in Thailand

Last night, book stores island wide saw lines of readers queueing up outside the doors, all wanting to be among the first to lay their hands on a copy of their favourite idol's biography, "HK's Declassified NS Guide". The book went on the shelves officially at the stroke of midnight, to be in conjunction with HK's date of enlistment into the National Service two years ago, and it was a major sell out. Ethusiastic fans of the reality TV star had already set up tents, sleeping bags (and even campfires) outside the bookstores 21546 days ago, all wanting to be the first in the queue to reach the highly anticipated book written by HK's best friend and fellow celebrity, JX.

The book, which chronicles HK's life in his two years of NS, features many unseen and previously censored pictures of HK in his many phases of army life. It even had a section where HK's close friends from army penned something down for him. The book was a surprise present for HK from JX, and he was kept in the dark from the project until the day of its official release.

"I absolutely love it and although I had an idea what she is doing, I'm still very touched and surprised that she did all these things for ME! *Russell is so NICE!!!" the very emotional HK said before bursting into tears.

This is not JX's first attempt at writing, with previous sell-outs like number one New York Times' bestseller"JX's 15676846 Short Anthologies Of Her Life" to her name. That thick anthology series released half a year back kicked off major competitors in the likes of mystery-thriller"Da Vinci's Code" and even the acclaimed "Harry Potter" series. It is also rumoured that a movie adaptation of JX's internationally best seller book is in the makings, although movie buffs have their doubts over how long the film might last judging by how long it took to finish reading the book version.

As HK's biography flew off shelves like hotcakes that night, JXHK, alongside music lovebirds Bennah Wee, kick start their world-tour of the year with Thailand as their first stop. JXHK's appearance at Japanese bookstore "Kinokuniya" was a major surprise to eager Thai fans queueing outside the bookstore. After greeting the shouting fans back with a 'Sawadeecaaaap!', JXHK held an autograph session lasting for a long six hours, due to a large turnout of fans. Halfway through the autograph session, a group of enraged fans started shouting and cursing, stripping down to their traditional Muay Thai boxing shorts and challenging a bewildered JXHK to a fight. A translator informed the duo that the fans were upset because they claimed the signatures they had gotten look 'kah kah abigong kaiii' (the Thai equivalent of 'like shit'). A break was arranged and famous Thai masseuses were deployed via helicopter all the way from Suan Lam Nightmarket to massage JXHK's spasmatic hands. All was well thereafter.

*Russell, a side-lined character, is one of HK's army friend who penned down a short note for him, although JX is still the one who write the entire book and consolidated everything.
